Promoting free and fair democracies.
We support non-profit organisations working to promote democratic development and pluralism through civic engagement, communication, scientific research and political activities.
What we do

The Foundation for Democracy and Pluralism is an independent philantropic organisation founded in 2021 by Daniel Sachs.

Our mission is to promote free and fair societies and pluralistic democracies by supporting non-profit organisations in Europe that work towards this common goal.

We believe civic empowerment and democratic engagement, as well as independent media and academia, is key to make political systems fairer and more inclusive, responsive and accountable.

Therefore, we work in partnership with civil society, media and political organisations to fund projects and activities that have sustainable impact on the democratic development in Europe.
